Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about RocketVote and Systemic Consensing.
Do I need an account?
No. You create a poll and receive two links: a secret admin link for managing it and a participation link for your group. Participants only enter a name.
How many people can take part?
There is no fixed limit. The method works with three people just as well as with several hundred.
What is the passive option?
The passive option stands for “everything stays as it is”. It is automatically added to every poll and serves as the benchmark: a proposal should create less resistance than doing nothing.
Who can submit proposals?
You decide when creating the poll: either all participants or only you as the admin. During the proposal phase all ideas are collected before rating begins.
Are ratings anonymous?
By default, yes – the result only shows totals, acceptance and distribution. Optionally you can create an open poll where everyone can see who rated what.
Can I change my rating later?
Yes, as long as the rating phase is open. The result is only final once the admin closes the poll.
What happens in case of a tie?
If several proposals have the same group resistance, they are shown together in first place. The distribution often helps: a proposal without high individual resistance is usually the more stable choice.
Can I export the results?
Yes. Admins can download the evaluation and raw data as a CSV file, e.g. for minutes or a spreadsheet.
Does RocketVote work in live meetings?
That’s exactly what it’s built for: participants join via QR code, and new proposals and phase changes appear instantly for everyone – no reloading.
Where is my data stored?
RocketVote is designed to be self-hosted. All data lives in a database on the operator’s server – there is no tracking and no sharing with third parties. A poll that nobody opens for 30 days is deleted automatically.
